Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing on behalf of the neighbours of Sant Antoni de Calonge's beach to tell you about our problem with the company "EMIRATES". This week we have been informed that the next month our beach will be private because of the new 5 stars hotel. But we want to make something to change the situation.

As a result of the company's petition to make the beach private we have started a campaign to ensure they don't make the beach private next month. We are organising a fundraising concert at the beach next month. Tickets are free, but we will ask for donations. We will use the money to pay the council for our demand.

In order to publicise our campaign, we would be very grateful if your news programme could explain the situation of the company and the neighbours and our fundraising concert. The concert starts at 6.00p.m. on Saturday 3rd of July. Please contact me on the number or email address given above to discuss further details.

How green are your gadgets?

INTRODUCTION:

The aim of this report is to know how green are the gadgets that we use, if there is used an average of 41 gadgets in each home. My sources include facts and figures from several recent news papers reports.

POSITIVE EFFECTS:

In general, our gadgets have helped us in a lot of things. Today, more than the 70 per dent of electronic gadgets can be recybled. And, recycling gadgets saves 33 per cent of the energy needed to make new plastic.

NEGATIVE EFFECTS:

Generally speaking, more than the 80 per cent of all the electronic waste is not recyled. This means that 17 million small devices are thrown away in the UK every year.

CONCLUSION:

To sum up, the electronic gadgets have made our lives easier. However, we sould try to think about the eviroment when we use them. I would recomend that the gadgets that we don't use, try to recyle it. That way, we will save money and protect the enviroment.

My resolutions

It's nearly April and I've decided to make some resolutionsbecause I want to improve some new tricks in basketball before we go to the tournament.

I promise to be more concentrated. When my coach says that we need to go runing I will stay concentrated and I will not talk to anyone who could distract me while we are training. I hope tat me teammates will respect my decision. I will probably still talk to my teammates, but I'll talk to htem at the dressing rooms or after the train session finishes.

I'm good at basketball, but I never listen to my coach and I do the thing on my own. Ipromise I'll train harder. As soon as I will arrive at the training I'll be concentrated and prapared to run or anyhing my coach wants me to do. By the time the tournament starts I'll be stronger, faster and hopefully I'll be playing more time every match at the tournament.

Shakespeare in love

PLOT

Will Shakespeare is a known poet, playwright and actor who not only has sold his next play to both Philip Henslow and Richard Burgidge but now faces a gar more difficult problem: hi is bereft of ideas and has yet to begin writing. He is in search of his muse, the woman who will inspire him but all attempts fail him until he meets the beautiful Viola de Lesseps. She loves the theatre and would like nothing more than to take to the stage but is forbidden from doing so as only men can be actors. She is also a great admirer of Shakespeare's works. Dressing as a man and going by the name of Thomas Kent, she auditions and is ideal for a part in his next play.

Shakespeare soon sees thorugh her disguise and they begin a love affair, one they know annot end happily for them as he is already married and sh has been promised to the dour Lord Wessex.

As the company rehearses his new play, Vill and Viola's love is transferred too the written page leading to the masterpiece that is Romeo and Juliet.

BIOGRAPHY

William Shakespeare was baptized on April 26, 1564, in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. From roughly 1594 onward he was an important member of the Lord Chamberlain's Men company of theatrical players. Written record give little indication of the way in wich Shakespeare's proffessional life molded his artistry. All that can be deduced is that over the course of 20 years, Shakes0peare wrote plays that capture the complete range of human emotion and conflict.

Writing an e-postcart to James

Hi James,

I'm in Paris with my family and friends. I'm staying here for 3 more days. The firsts 2 days I was in Disneyland and it was very funny and awesome.

First we visited the castle of Disneyland and we stayed there for 3 more days in a hotel, now for the last 3 days of the vacation we're going to visit some of the most important places of Paris: the Effel Tower, the cathedral of Notre-Damm,...

I haven't bought you a souvenir because the money of france is different than here and I was crazy to find and bought something for you, and I don't have time for stop and go to buy things becouse i'm too busy, sorry and I will see you soon!

Help us to save our planet

Air pollution is a big problem in our world. The cause of this problem i the petrol becouse it pollutes more than any other things. If we don't do something about, it will be the global warming and we are all going to die.

There is a lot of traffic on the toads, more cars, more buses, more planes. We will change that, going by bike or travel with electric cars, motorbikes buses,...

We can think more carefully about going to school by car or by bike. We will help with the travellint and we can inent electrical planes and electrical boats.

MY LAST SUMMER

                                                                    Hi I'm Clàudia. Now I’m gonna to tell you about my summer holidays. First I'm going to talk about my holidays in June, then I’m going to talk about my holidays of July and I’m going to finish with my last month and a half, August and September.

JUNE

My first month of summer I stayed in Banyoles doing some funny summer activities like: paddle, basket. But when I was in the second week of paddle my mum told me to go to l'Estartit for two weeks, because she didn't work. And I did not want to go basket, because I didn't like it. In Estartit I went there with my mum my sister and my cousin. Me and my cousin we went to the Italian beach,we sayed that name for that beach because there are the Italian boys which are more handsome than the other beaches and places. And in the afternoon we went to Carrer Santanna for shopping.

JULY

My second month of summer first of all I was in Estartit. And me and my sister we saw a water park on the sea, near the coast and we went to the park and my sister fell many times. We stayed at Estartit all the month.

AUGUST

In the first week of August I went to Gemeliers concert in Cap Roig with Jana Díaz, that was so funny and incredible, then we go to Estartit only the weekend’s and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I went with my friends to the Jamaica tree or to Club Natació Banyoles, and on Tuesday and Thursday we went to la Draga or La Plaça Major.
